Express warranties
A manufacturer, supplier or AussieMart express warranty operates in addition to your statutory rights.
An express warranty does not replace Australian Consumer Law.
Duration of consumer rights
Your statutory rights do not necessarily end when an express warranty expires.
The reasonable duration of consumer guarantees can depend on factors such as:
- the type of product;
- the price paid;
- expected durability;
- representations made about the product; and
- the circumstances of the purchase.
