【Working Principle】The Geiger-Miller counter measures ionizing radiation, such as Beta particles, Gamma rays, and X-rays. It uses a gas tube or small chamber as a probe. When the probe's voltage reaches a specific range, each ionizing ray passing through the tube generates a pair of ions. These ions are amplified to produce an electric pulse of the same magnitude, which is recorded by the connected electronic device. The counter measures the number of rays detected per unit time.
